Psychonauts is a 2005 3D platformer from Double Fine. I've recently been watching the excellent documentary on the making of Psychonauts 2, and it's put me in a mood to play the original. While it definitely shows its age, it still holds up and is a fun play.
A Way Out is a co-op only adventure/puzzle game about two men breaking out of prison. It's definitely a unique experience; beyond being co-op only, the game is also in splitscreen almost 100% of the time, so you can always see exactly what your partner is doing.
I've wanted to play the Trials of Mana remake for a long time. It's right up my alley - hack and slash gameplay, not terribly long, and not a gigantic empty open world. I finally played the demo and really enjoyed it.
Kairosoft has been making simple simulation games for a couple decades, and Game Dev Story is one of their first efforts. These games are ports from mobile, and are pretty much straight ports. No bells and whistles here, and the interface is the same as on mobile.
I've finished the game, and my thoughts mostly echo my initial impressions. Trials of Mana is a simple, fun RPG with deep party-building mechanics, tons of potential for build diversity, some replayability, and fun hack and slash gameplay.
